After a very poor 2016 season, Notre Dame football coach Brian Kelly lost his starting quarterback DeShone Kizer, who decided to forego his final 2 years of eligibility and declared for the 2017 NFL Draft.

Coach Kelly joined Sirius XM NFL Radio to discuss the struggles last season, the preparation for the upcoming season, as well as the departure of Kizer.

Kelly then proceeded to lambast his former quarterback, which is a questionable to say the least.

Notre Dame struggled this season, ending with a 4-8 overall record. After the Fighting Irish's loss to Duke this season, Kelly made some controversial comments about Kizer's on-field performance, calling it "not acceptable". Kelly then proceeded to bench Kizer.

After Kizer's benching, Kelly received a lot of negative attention, including former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen, who said he would rather go to the NFL than play for a coach who doesn't trust his players. And that is exactly what Kizer did.

Kizer had had enough of Kelly's antics, and Notre Dame fans seem to be sick and tired of him too. This is not a great look for the future either, as Notre Dame football expects to bring in top recruits every season.

The real question is: who would want to play for this guy?
